About

Digital Worcester is a collaborative creation of Tona Hangen, Assistant Professor of US History, and students in her courses at Worcester State College. Students add to this collection as an outgrowth of their participation in courses in 19th and 20th century US history, developing a small digital history project to extend the website's scope and reach.

Contributions from the wider community are welcome. We are looking for subjects for oral histories, especially among Worcester's older residents. If you have an item - an artifact, a document, a collection of letters, a yearbook, a crumbling photo album - that you think sheds light on Worcester's history, please consider sharing it with us. We can make a digital copy using our equipment and have the item back to you promptly. We would also be pleased to accept your uploaded images or documents - just email us if you're interesting in adding to our collection.
