WTAG Radio

Items in this collection were digitized and donated by the chief engineer of WTAG Radio in Worcester MA, Dan Kelleher. WTAG 580 AM is one of the oldest radio stations in the country, broadcasting continuously since 1924 (and now, also at 94.9 FM). The original transmitter building is not the downtown location, but up on a hilltop north of the city in Paxton in a beautiful Art-Deco shell which houses an unusual and informally curated collection of memorabilia, equipment, paraphenalia, and recordings from WTAG's early days.
