The 2 eldest children are sent to the Temporary Home first on February 26, 1942 following their mother’s home birth of their sister. Their father admitted them to stay in the Temporary Home until their mother was able to care for them again. The children were picked up by their father on March 15, 1924 and brought home to their mother. The records indicate the children were very well behaved and that their father frequently came to visit them. Both parents were very grateful the children had somewhere to stay. The children were forced to return to the Temporary Home on May 2, 1924 after their mother threatened to throw the baby out the window. The mother was brought to Memorial Hospital with the baby to receive treatment. The baby was brought to a boarding home in the country until the mother was well again. The older 2 children returned home on May 23, 1924. The children visit the Temporary Home 2 more times before 1928. The mother underwent surgery to remove her gall bladder during the children’s last stay at the Home.
