A recent study has shown that lithium carbonate and sodium valproate, another drug traditionally used to treat the disorder, act in the brain by inhibiting PKC’s activity and help to create other compounds that also inhibit the PKC. Lithium carbonate is of little use for someone suffering from depression.
On 23 October 2008, the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) issued a press release stating its Committee for Medical Products for Human Use (CHMP) had concluded the benefits of Acomplia no longer outweighed its risks, and subsequently recommended the product be suspended from the UK market. Sanofi-Aventis later released a press statement stating the drug had been suspended. Approval of the drug was officially withdrawn by the EMEA on 16 January 2009.

 

Zithromax is an macrolide antibiotic related to erythromycin.It fights bacteria in the body. Trazodone (Desyrel, Oleptro, Beneficat, Deprax, Desirel, Molipaxin, Thombran, Trazorel, Trialodine, Trittico, Mesyrel) is an antidepressant of the serotonin antagonist and reuptake inhibitor (SARI) class. It is a phenylpiperazine compound. Trazodone also has anxiolytic, and hypnotic effects.[1] Trazodone has considerably less prominent anticholinergic (dry mouth, constipation, tachycardia) and sexual side effects than most of the tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs).
