Description

The Gauthier-Gokey family were of French descent, and lived in Worcester, Massachusetts. George Gokey and Ellen Gauthier were married in North Grafton, MA in 1912. They had four children: Eleanor, Howard, Harriet and George Wallace. While George was unemployed, Ellen got a job in Whitinsville, MA. The children were placed in the Temporary Home for several days due to their parents' lack of income and out of concern for their safety.
